Just like most KOAs, Pueblo South KOA was no different as far as packing in tons of amenities. The best part about Pueblo South KOA is all of the cool attractions in the vicinity.

Amenities at Pueblo South KOA

Like I said in the intro, Pueblo South KOA is like most other KOAs and packed with amenities. This includes a swimming pool, playground for the kiddos, hot tub, basketball court, volleyball, laundry, bathhouses, event center, and much more! The spots are a little tight for our liking, but it was a good place to call home for a week (minus hail season in Colorado!).

Discounts:

Since it is part of the KOA corporate owned system, the KOA does take the 10% KOA discount and you can accrue points while staying at the KOA as well.

Noise Level:

There is a little bit of road noise off of I25 as expected, but being up on the hill and having some trees/buildings between you and the road helps. As I said, the vast majority of campsites are fairly close to each other so if you do have a noisy neighbor, that could play a part in some noise…amplifying it.

Dog Friendly at Pueblo South KOA ?

You betcha! There were quite a few dogs being walked around while we were staying at this KOA for a week. There are a couple very small ‘dog parks’ in each section of the RV Park. Seems like they are meant for smaller breeds rather than the big guys, but Blaze still had fun sniffing them.

Big Rig Friendly?

We saw both some decent sized Class As and 5th wheels parking at this RV park during our stay. The largest spots were on the south end of the park (where all the bigger 5th wheels and Class As were set up. With our 30 ft rig/F250, we barely fit in the middle spots, but we survived for a week.

Cell Signal and Wifi:

Both AT&T and Verizon worked just fine in this area and allowed us to work without issues. The WiFiat this campground was actually pretty impressive and they had a TON of cable channels on their cable hookup as well (not internet related).

Things to Do in the Area:

We were lucky enough to get out adventuring a couple times while staying at Pueblo South KOA.

The first adventure was actually about an hour north to explore both Garden of the Gods and Manitou Cliff Dwellings.

Then later in the week we explored west of the park towards Bishop Castle and Lake Isabel.
