How We Transport our Kayaks
I decided to make a quick video describing how we transport our kayaks from point a to point b as well as what equipment we use.
Before buying your kayaks, you may want to figure out how you are going to actually transport them first. There is an array of different equipment out there depending on your needs. You don’t need to have a huge fancy truck or SUV to transport kayaks.
I’ve seen small hybrid cars transporting kayaks down the road with no issues whatsoever. Although it may be wise to attempt to pick a kayak that is comparable to your vehicle length. A foot or two of overhang probably isn’t a big deal depending on your state’s regulations, but you wouldn’t want to have a 13-14 ft sea kayak on your little Prius. 🙂
