I can’t really explain how excited I was when I got this in the mail. The solar charge controller is essential in our solar installation video. This would really give us the chance to take our RV off-grid and have a lot more flexibility charging up the 12 volt batteries. We only have two WindyNation solar panels currently, but we should be able to expand our system up to 500 watts total with this charge controller.
This particular solar charge controller is a MPPT charge controller which is slightly more expensive than your PWM controller, but also more efficient. That being said, if you only plan on having a 100 or 200 watt system…maybe PWM would be a better choice for you. Knowing that we wanted to expand our system in the future, this was really our best choice.
