Campground Review of Lake Park Campground in Georgia

Lake Park Campground in southern Georgia maybe located right next to the interstate, but what it lacks in peace and quiet, it makes up with southern charm and convenience.

Amenities:

Lake Park Campground is located JUST off of I-75 in Southern Georgia, so if you are looking for a 1-2 night stay this might be perfect for you. This park actually used to be a KOA as you can still see remnants of old KOA signs on the bathhouse and other parts of the campground.

It has a decent sized swimming pool, a pond you can fish in, decently clean bathhouses, and a small laundry facility.

They also have a propane filling area, dump station, shuffleboard, and who could live without horse shoes.

I think the biggest amenity of this particular campground is just its location to different RV stores and other supplies you may need before continuing on with your journey.

Discounts:

No additional discounts that we are aware of here besides a weekly rate.

Noise Level:

Not too bad for being right next to the interstate. Maybe we are just getting acclimated to it in our travels, but we slept just fine with our week stay here.

Dog Friendly?

This park is very dog friendly with zero restrictions that I am aware of. Blaze actually got to meet another greyhound that was also staying at the campground. How fun!?

Big Rig Friendly?

Yes. Many of the sites throughout this campground are pull through sites. There are some that are back-in but most of those were empty while we were staying at the campground. The sites are a bit unlevel though even on pavement, so just be aware of that.

Cell Signal:

If you are digital nomads like we are, cell signal is crucial. Both AT&T and Verizon were producing great signal and we were both able to work. AT&T did struggle one day, but it bounced back after having whatever issue it was having.

Things to Do in the Area:

We didn’t really do a whole lot in this area, but we did go check out Grand Bay Wildlife Area north of the RV park and also checked out some half-ton towable 5th wheels at camping world next door.
