Campground Review of Hager’s Hilly Haven in Wisconsin

Howdy folks!

This is a quick little campground review of Hager’s Hilly Haven in the state of Wisconsin. Yes, I am still extremely behind on blog posts, but trying to get one out to you all tonight. 🙂 Although technically we are in Alabama right now, this was an AWESOME campground to stay at in the summer time.

Did I mention this part of the country is just simply beautiful? If not, well there I said it. There are plenty of neat places around this campground to catch the sun setting. Whether that be over the trees and hills or across the beautiful lake (yes this place has a lake).

However, while visiting the state of Wisconsin we encountered a RIDICULOUS amount of rain. Literally the entire 3 weeks we were in Wisconsin it was just raining pretty much then entire time. When we initially got to the campground the water level was about a foot or so lower beneath the dock area.

Quick little story time and why we love this campground so much. There are many times where we enjoy campgrounds where the owners just stay low key and don’t even contact you. However, this is one exception of where we were happy to have the campground owners we did.

We had a tornado warning in the area and they took the time to quickly drive around the campground gathering folks to get them back to the house for shelter. Not many people would do that. Not only that, the strong storm that passed through knocked out the power for an entire 24+ hours at the campground. I let these folks know that we were digital nomads and kind of needed power in order to continue working and would probably have to take off. In order to keep us happy and our business, they lended us one of their generators for an entire day. How awesome is that?

Oh, and they also have the biggest RV dog park I’ve ever seen. Blaze of course being the lazy dog that he is didn’t truly enjoy it, but we did capture a couple slow-mo shots in the video at the top of the post where he “jogged” around haha. Also yes, that is a ridiculously huge swing set made from telephone poles.

Some other amenities they had at this park as again the beautiful lake you could take your kayaks out on, a salt water swimming pool that is enclosed in a greenhouse like building, and 2 nice clean bathhouses with individual showers for extra privacy.

For more details, be sure to check out the video itself as I take you on a tour around the campground and go a bit more in depth on our opinions.
