Campground Review of Cajun Palms RV Resort in Louisiana

Cajun Palms RV Resort in Louisiana is one of those RV parks that can truly be called a resort with its plethora of amenities and nice level concrete pads. Oh, and don’t forget the beautiful palm trees near the entrance and Tiki Bar area!!!

Where do I even start with this category. Everything that most RV parks have and then some? Alright, here is my attempt but I might leave some out on accident.

Noise Level:

Depends on the day of the week. When we arrived on a Saturday the place was jumping and the Tiki Bar area was completely packed and felt like I was in college again. Golf Carts with ridiculous sound systems and even kiddos on some scooter deals with bluetooth speakers built in. Technology.

During the week however the place is extremely peaceful and so far away from the interstate that you don’t really even hear it. There was some construction going on in the distance, so if that is still going on while you are visiting then that may play into the noise factor. Oh, and you might hear a T-Rex in the distance too…yea.

Dog Friendly at Cajun Palms RV Resort?

Yes. So many dogs.

Big Rig Friendly?

Not sure if I really have to answer this based on all the amenities I listed above, but yes this place is big rig friendly. Triple axle 5th wheel, huge class A? They got you covered.

Cell Signal and Wifi:

If you are digital nomads like we are, cell signal is crucial. AT&T was a great performer at this park having great download and upload speeds. Verizon worked ok and could probably work, but we didn’t have use for it due to our great AT&T signal. They do have some campground Wifi we didn’t check out due to the fact it wasn’t free.

Things to Do in the Area:

Depending on what you enjoy doing, there is quite a bit to do in the area.

1) If you have kiddos with you, nearby there are some ridiculous attractions such as the Prehistoric Park (thus T-Rex sounds) and Cajun Fast Track. Honestly this is a perfect vacation spot for a family, I can see why so many people camp here.

2) Eat all the Crawfish. If you love Crawfish/Crawdads/Crayfish/crazy pincer jerks you can eat them at many places around the area. Including one within walking distance of the park (and you get a discount with your stay).

3) We like our hiking so we ended up driving down to Cypress Island Preserve to adventure and explore the local wildlife/nature.

4) Lafayette, Louisiana is just west of the park as well and they have plenty of activities that you may enjoy as well!
